Service as Action is an important part of the MYP and reflects Bowman's commitment to service and community. Students are encouraged to look beyond the classroom, recognize needs in their communities, and consider how they can use their knowledge, skills, and interests to make a positive contribution.

Through service experiences, students learn that meaningful action begins with understanding. They research issues, reflect on their experiences, work with others, and put their learning into practice. Whether supporting a local organization, sharing knowledge with younger students, or developing a project in response to a community need, students have opportunities to see themselves as active and responsible members of their community.
