LOWER ELEMENTARY

K — GRADE 3

In Lower Elementary, students begin to move beyond "what" and "why" to "how." As they transition from concrete experiences to abstract thinking, they seek to understand the relationships between ideas and make sense of the world around them. Children receive individualized and small-group lessons, then apply their learning through purposeful work that encourages exploration, critical thinking, and problem-solving. They also begin planning their daily schedules, developing organization, responsibility, and independence. Through collaboration with their peers, students learn to communicate effectively, appreciate different perspectives, and contribute thoughtfully to their classroom community.
