| In January 2004, Bowman moved into one of the most distinctive buildings on the Peninsula. The school's design reflects the union of a visionary, progressive team of school leaders and architects. The attached article, in PDF format, from a February 2001 feature in the Architectural Record explains the direction the San Francisco-based firm of Simon Martin-Vegue Wingkelstein Moris (SMWM) took in fulfilling key design goals for the building - creating a sense of community and delighting children.
